Today is the first day of March. New goals are set for this month: no TV on weekdays, eating healthy, spending more quiet time reading the Word of God, organizing our garage and closet.....so on. Trying to use our time more wisely and change our lifestyle. We spent too much time watching TV last month, with the winter olympic games, Lost, American Idol, 24, Survivor, Amazing Race....we just couldn't help ourselves. We are easily addicted to something we enjoy doing, like playing Wii Super Mario back in January.
We recently found a new hobby that both of us like to do: puzzles. It started on a Friday night when we were with the kids at church. We put the 100-piece with the children and it was a lot of fun. After we got home, we took out one of my unopened/forgotten 1000-piece puzzle and challenged ourselves. We spent several days putting all the pieces together and we actually finished it!Life is like a box of puzzle. Your goal/dream/vision is like the complete picture on the box, but you have to try hard to put all the pieces together. It takes courage, determination, patience, perseverance each step of the way. Once you see part of the picture, you know you're getting closer and closer to the finish line. There're times when you struggle and maybe you even doubt if you could really reach your dream. You can easily give up, just put all the pieces back to the box and pretend that you never start. But when you press onward and persevere, you'll feel the extraordinary joy of accomplishment and it will definitely bring a smile on your face. What's more beautiful than reaching your goal/dream/vision?
If you have a dream, continue to weave it. Don't give up!
