4th of July BBQ
It's 4th of July. Of course, we gotta have BBQ. Thanks to my in-laws for opening up their house and preparing those delicious foods: short ribs, ribeye steaks, corns, 杏包菇, shrimps, 烤魷魚, yams, salads, sausages, hotdogs, chicken wings/legs, pudding, red bean ice cream, and all kinds of fruits. Those signature BBQ chicken wings really reminded me 台灣路邊用愛心燒烤的小攤販.
Orange County is always so much cooler than the inland. Kids really wanted to get into the pool but it grew a little bit chilly in the late afternoon. They still had fun just putting their little feet into the water.
When a kid meets another kid, they become friends immediately, at least for Zoya and Jocelyn jie jie. I've never seen Zoya being so happy around another child. They just love each other. Zoya would follow her around, imitate everything Jocelyn does. They would hug each other so many times. I think it was a really good opportunity for Zoya to learn to "share" since she has been the only child. It was so great to see them having such a wonderful time playing with each other. =D Aren't they just too cute??!!
We didn't plan to see any fireworks but we happened to see some big beautiful ones right above us when we passed by the Angel stadium on the way home!
