Day One

Our journey to Hawaii has officially begun. The five and half hour flight seemed forever. I played some sudoku, read the Reader's Digest, had my guava juice, ate my hot pasta with salad, had my coke, tried to watch the Indiana Jones movie that I think is really bad, more tea, some talking, some starring at the clouds through the window. Finally, we've arrived!

So, how do we get to our hotel? Without renting the car, we decided to get the shuttle to our hotel. But where's the shuttle at? Well, it's funny to know that a bunch of people are just like us. Somehow we found this shuttle that takes people to the hotels, $9 one way, $16 round trip. We hopped on quickly since the seats were limited.

We asked the hotel for complimentary upgrade for our honeymoon and the guy didn't agree the first time. But then he gave us free upgrade at the end! A room with a little balcony, part of city view and part of ocean view. We were tired and hungry and we walked to Wailana Coffee House, an 24-hour cafe that's around the corner, to have some teriyaki chicken and fried rice. How convenient here!! But food is expensive everywhere in Hawaii. Even the Starbucks and MacD are more expensive than the mainland.
