Big Bear Camping Trip Day 1

It was an awesome camping trip over the long weekend. The bears didn't come to knock on our tents, but we did hear the coyotes howl. It was good to see so many families having fun explore the nature while spending family time together. Thank God for providing us with wonderful campground, great weather, enough foods, safety and protection, and most of all, His presence. =)

Recap of Day One:

Setting up the tent is a new experience for me. I love my tent, which is very spacious for us to stand and fit in there. We could hang two lights from the top, open our "windows", set up the divider to divide the tent into two "rooms", plus, we brought the two airbeds with us.In the afternoon, we went hiking from our campsite to the Big Bear Discovery Center. It was a pain to walk under the scorching sun and it was farther than I thought, but I still went on with the group and made it..yeh!!! (Nobody wanted to stop and return except me...haha) We had BBQ at the picnic area across our campsite. Our dinner for the first night was BBQ ribs, salad, dinner rolls, and watermelons. We brought 200 pounds of ribs there (I know it sounds scary..200 pounds.) We also grilled some fish which were caught by the kids. Some families went fishing in the afternoon at a place where they guaranteed that the kids would catch fish within five minutes. It cost the parents a lot of money but every kid who went had so much fun. Rebecca, the birthday girl, eating her own fish. She's pretty good at eating fish. Look at the fish bones!
We had two bonfires at night, one for the adults and one for the kids. We played games and roasted the marshmallows. The kids were a little out of control because they were too excited and couldn't' wait for their turn to roast the marshmallows. More Photos (Click the Links):
