Raining Day

It started to rain again last night and good thing is I have a day off today. Of course, we slept in. I think we slept 9 and half hours straight. It's too cold to get out of bed. Getting enough sleep does make us happier, healthier, and less stressful.

With this freezing weather, we wanted some shabu-shabu to keep us warm. We went to this place called "Shabu Shabu Station" for the very first time. It has the ads on their glass door for $8.99 for lunch special. We tried both pork and beef with sukiyaki and seaweed soup base. But the $8.99 only comes with 6 slices of meat, no wonder the waitress wanted us to order the bigger plates. Overall the shabu is just ok, probably won't come back again.

Tokyo Shabu Shabu is another shabu place in Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights. Lillian and I went there several times and i think their meat is probably a little better compared with the Shabu Shabu Station.

We think the best shabu place is the one in Japan town called "Shabu Shabu House Restaurant." It's the most famous place for shabu and it's always a LONG wait. But I think they have the best meat for shabu. Maybe one of these days we will drive all the there to downtown just to enjoy their shabu shabu. =)
